Australia's first Dementia Assistance Dogs posted - 12/Oct/2016

Our Carlton Vet Clinic are lucky enough to be looking after one of Australia’s first Dementia Assistance Dogs, Jiyu. 70% of people with dementia in Australia live within the community, and assistance dogs like Jiyu will help dementia suffers stay connected to their community for longer. Jiyu has learnt up to 50 different cues to help his owner in their day to day life. We are really proud to be able to provide exceptional veterinary care to Jiyu and his pet parents.
